Four dedicated programs focused on inclusion, companionship, dignity, and food security — empowering every member of our community.
The Center currently serves 75 beneficiaries and is supported by a dedicated team of 25 employees. Services are organized across three specialized centers, each providing appropriate educational, social, and developmental support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and Cerebral Palsy.
The beneficiaries come from various regions across North Lebanon. Through personalized care, professional guidance, and adapted activities, the center helps each participant develop their abilities, strengthen their independence, and improve their quality of life.
Named after the biblical Visitation of the Virgin Mary to Elizabeth, a symbol of compassion, presence, and loving service. The team is composed of 35 dedicated volunteers united by a spirit of solidarity and faith, devoting their time to supporting and caring for the elderly and those most in need.
One of the team’s primary missions is to visit elderly people weekly in their homes and in care facilities, offering companionship, listening, and practical assistance. The team also follows up on elderly individuals who are abandoned or alone in hospitals.
The Light Team is a recreational and spiritual group dedicated to accompanying persons with disabilities and helping them experience joy, friendship, and a sense of belonging within the community. The team includes more than 50 participants with disabilities from Zgharta and Al-Zawiya, supported by 30 volunteer facilitators.
The group gathers once a week for a recreational meeting that includes spiritual moments of prayer and reflection. During winter, meetings take place indoors; in summer, outdoors for approximately three hours. The team also visits parishes in the region, promoting openness, inclusion, and stronger community bonds.
Established in response to the severe economic crisis during which milk prices became extremely high and often unavailable. In March 2021, Mr. George Iskandar generously donated ten cows to the association.
In coordination with Caritas Zgharta, the association began daily milk distribution across Zgharta and its district, reaching more than 700 families on a regular basis. The milk is distributed without discrimination, ensuring all families in need receive this vital support.
Today, with the support of the association Orient d’Œuvre, the farm has 20 cows and active work continues through the care and management of the livestock and the ongoing distribution of fresh milk.
